Dear Neighbor,
We’re hitting Mile Marker #18 and it’s time to talk about what’s been happening these past few weeks in Washington and in Georgia’s 10th Congressional District. First off, it’s an honor to have the trust and confidence of the people of Georgia’s 10th Congressional District. Every day I wake up proud to serve and determined to bring back common-sense Conservative wins for our district. Thank you for allowing me to represent you once more, and I look forward to what we’ll accomplish in the next Congress.
I hope you and your family are safe and have recovered from Hurricane Helene. Leigh Ann and I have been praying for those affected, and my office has worked non-stop to make sure that our communities have the resources needed to build back stronger than ever. As always, for assistance with any federal agency, please do not hesitate to call my Monroe or Washington, D.C. offices.

There are going to be some major, much needed changes in Washington soon. We will finally have the chance to unleash our economy’s full potential and bring down the inflation that is crushing every one of us; stop illegal immigration immediately and get dangerous criminals off our streets; and clear the needless, woke bureaucracy out of our country.
This is an exciting time to be an American, and I’m glad you’re along for the ride with me.

On Friday, October 25th, I joined my colleagues in writing a letter to United States Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg demanding an answer to why the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) is prohibiting distributors of pulsating brake lights from selling these vital safety features. I am proud to announce that our efforts were successful, and the NHTSA has backed off their plan to immediately halt sales. Although this might not seem like a slam dunk success at first, this is a massive win for highway safety and the transportation sector.
On Tuesday, October 29th, I cosponsored my colleague Rep. Matt Gaetz’s (R-FL) “JAIL for Alien Voters Act.” This act would charge any illegal alien caught voting in a U.S. election with a felony, closing a loophole and charging each violator a $10,000 fine. Illegal immigrants should not be in our country in the first place, and they certainly should not be voting in our elections. I’m proud to stand up for the integrity of our elections, and I will never let the safety of your vote be compromised.

On October 2nd, I toured the damage from Hurricane Helene in Taliaferro and Wilkes Counties with the local leaders, volunteers, and emergency personnel who have been working tirelessly to keep the lights on in Georgia. They got hit hard, but everyone stepped up, made sacrifices, and got to work immediately to help their community. It’s days like this that make me proud to be a Georgian.

It was a privilege to speak about my faith and support for Israel at the American Jewish Committee’s October 7th Memorial in Sandy Springs, GA. It’s been over one year since Hamas invaded Israel and killed more than 1,200 men, women, and children in this heinous attack. With more than 60 hostages still being held in Gaza, I was proud to join Consul General Anat Sultan-Dadon in demanding that they be brought home now.

I was honored to speak at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Georgia Piedmont Technical College’s new commercial trucking training range in Covington, GA. As a trucker myself, I’m proud that the next generation of truckers is coming from right here in Newton County. It’s an incredible time to be a part of the trucking industry, and the opportunities that GPTC are providing are second to none. Truckers are the unsung heroes of our economy, and the students that will graduate from here will be on a great track for a long, stable career that keeps our country going.

On October 10th, I was briefed on the Hurricane Helene recovery efforts by the experts and leaders in Elbert County. A special thanks is due to Chuck Almond and Beth Seymour with Elbert County Emergency Services for all their hard work on the ground, as well as Elberton Mayor Daniel Graves and Rep. Rob Leverett for providing the local resources needed to rebuild and for keeping me up to date nonstop through cleanup and recovery.
