In light of the Supreme Court's decision on Monday directing Border Patrol to temporarily remove razor wire installed by the state of Texas at known illegal immigrant hotspots, this week, I unveiled the RAZOR Act. This legislation would prohibit the federal government from removing Texas' or any other state’s border barriers.
Since President Biden took office there have been more than 8 million illegal crossings nationwide, with at least 1.7 million known "gotaways." On the U.S. southern border alone there have been over 6.7 million who have crossed illegally, as well as 312 on the terrorist watchlist encountered by U.S. law enforcement.
If the Supreme Court won’t allow states to defend their sovereignty and our nation, Congress has a moral imperative to act.
